1969 Gibson Trini Lopez. Serial: 809162
Introduced in 1963 the Trini Lopez model was one of 4 new signature models brought out by Gibson, after the departure of Les Paul, to try and attract a young market. The Trini Lopez standard fast became one of the best selling guitars for Gibson in the mid 1960s. Today the guitar is more recognisable in the hands of Dave Grohl and Noel Gallagher, and was the inspiration for Dave's own signature model.
This guitar features the narrower nut width, which Gibson introduced in 1965, and it takes some getting used to. It also has a replaced Gotoh bridge.
